Another 4 Patients Recover from Covid19, To Be Discharged

Following successful treatment and recovery of 3 COVID 19 patients who were discharged from the hospital on Saturday, another 4 people have also recovered from COVID 19.

This was announced by Dr Henry Mwebesa, Director General Health Services in the Ministry of Health on Saturday.

“Another 4 people in this hospital (Entebbe Grade B) have tested negative twice at intervals of 24 hours after 14 days treatment and are also being prepared for discharge,” said Dr Mwebesa in a statement.

On Saturday, three patients who were among the confirmed cases of COVID 19 were discharged from Entebbe Grade B hospital following successfully treatment and recovery.

The Minister of Health Dr Jane Ruth Aceng however refused to disclose their identity.

This brought the total number of COVID 19 confirmed cases in Uganda drop from 53 to 50.

All the 50 cases are in stable condition at Mulago National specialized hospital, Entebbe Grade B hospital, Adjumani hospital and Hoima hospital.

A cumulative total of 4,856 samples have so far been tested for COVID 19 in Uganda.
