UPL: Proline, Tooro United Meet in Bottom of the Table Clash

The StarTimes Uganda Premier League relegation battle takes center stage on Tuesday evening when Proline hosts Tooro United at Lugogo.

For starters, both teams are fighting for their dear lives as Proline languishes at the bottom of the table with Tooro United just a place above.

The first leg encounter at the St. Paul seminary playground in Fort Portal ended 1-1 making this a must win match for either side.

Proline come into this high-stakes match as a ‘wounded’ club following their 1-0 away defeat to Bright Stars at Kavumba recreation playground, hoping to return to winning ways.

Having banked a 2-0 victory against Police at their fortress in Fort Portal during their last time out, Tooro United look to fashion the same prowess against this week’s opposition.

The Muhammad Kisekka coached side has registered four wins and a draw in their last seven face offs with Proline who have only managed to secure two wins in that same period.

Proline is expected to depend on heroics from Bright Anukani, Mato Rogers, Joseph Semujju, Hakim Kiwanuka and Bonyo Ibrahim who have notably been outstanding players for the team in the past match-days.

For Tooro United, Yafesi Mubiru, Musiige, Byamukama, and their January signing Nicholas Kagaba will look to hold the team’s responsibilities.

A win for Proline will see them reach 21 points but won’t bring any change to the table standings while Tooro United will replace Maroons in 13th if they register maximum points.
