Newly Appointed Minister For Sports Hamson Obua Visits The Bombers In Camp

The national team for Boxing termed as the Bombers are in residential training in Luzira Prisons Gym as the get prepared for the Olympic Qualifiers that are scheduled to takeplace next month in Dakar, Senegal from 20th-29th.

The minister was welcomed by the Uganda Boxing Federation president Moses Muhangi together with his executive and went on to address the challenges they are facing as a federation.

The notable challenges included the unavailability of a standard gym and limited resources that come in the camp.

Hamson says that Olympics is the most prestigious tournament in the whole world and he urgued boxers to take the sport serious to acquire gold medals.

“Boxer must be mentally prepared, no matter the condition, stay focussed. You can make it like Mayweather or Tyson” Hamson told boxers in the camp.

The minister gas been impressed with th spirit within the training camp and promised to work hand in hand with UBF to convince Parliament to assistant them with the parliamentary gym.
