Ple 2019: Full List of Best And Worst Performing Districts

On Friday, the Minister of Education and Sports Janet Museveni released Primary Leaving Examinations (PLE) for the year 2019.

The results showed Kampala leading with the biggest percentage of candidates in Division 1 at 27.9% followed by Mbarara at 26.7%, Kabarole came third at 26.7% as well, Bushenyi came fourth at 23.3% followed by Sheema at 21.6% and Wakiso at 21.5% among others.

Meanwhile, Amudat was the worst performing district with 0.7% of its candidates in Division 1, followed by Kapelebyong with only 1% of candidates in Division 1, Kween district came third with 1.2%, followed by Serere with 1.3%, followed by Nwoya with 1.4% while Yumbe, Pallisa, Pader and Luuka districts all had 1.7% of their candidates in Division 1.

Abim had a total number of 1416 candidates but only 68 got Division 1.

Adjumani had a total number of 5338 but only 190 got Division 1.

Agago had a total number of 3613 candidates but only 58 got Division 1.

Alebtong had a total number of 4402 candidates but only 69 got Division 1.

Amolatar had a total number of 2381 candidates but 66 got Division 1.

Amudat had a total number of 301 candidates but only 2 got Division 1.

Amuria had a total number of 3669 candidates but only 81 got Division 1.

Amuru had a total number of 3216 candidates but only 78 got Division 1.

Apac had a total number of 2629 candidates but only 78 got Division 1.

Arua had a total number of 15706 candidates but only 503 got Division 1.

Budaka had a total number of 4667 candidates but only 163 got Division 1.

Bududa had a total number of 2881 but only 142 got Division 1.

Bugiri had a total number of 6729 candidates but only 165 got Division 1.
