Minister Naduli Denies Meeting Bobi Wine in S. Africa

 

The Minister Without Portfolio, Al Hajj Abdul Naduli has dismissed allegations that he met with Kyadondo East Member of Parliament Robert Kyagulanyi commonly known as Bobi Wine, who is also the leader of the opposition People Power movement.

Naduli, together with other ruling National Resistance Movement (NRM) party members were in Johannesburg, South Africa to attend the South Africa Diaspora Conference where they endorsed President Museveni as NRM’s sole candidate in the 2021 election.

Naduli, speaking to Chimpreports at his office in Kampala on Wednesday said that their going to South Africa was majorly to empower NRM supporters in the southern African Nation.

“The trip from Uganda to Johannesburg, South African was solely on NRM empowerment of its supporters and also to guide them on what we, who are seated here in the country where the administration starts said as NRM party,” he said.

“We also wanted our supporters in that southern corridor to come together and match with us in doing so. That is why we went.

Regarding circulating claims that he secretly met with Bobi Wine, Minister Naduli said this was untrue.

“There was no need to meet him because that would spark riots. Those People are so young in their brains with political parties,” he added.

Naduli also stressed that there was no confrontation between the two sides at any point.

“There was no any clash. We didn’t clash with any Bobi Wine’s people or People Power.”
