“We’re going to beat you if, dare strike again” Tumwine sends a warning to Makerere students
The Minister for Security Gen. Elly Tumwine has implored Makerere University students striking over the 15% tuition increment to calm down.
Speaking in an exclusive interview, Tumwine challenged the students that striking is not the only solution to the existing grievances.
Tumwine added that students should adopt since violence won’t reap anything sensible.
“No one should like to you that you have a right to cause violence, don’t strike, once you strike you will be beaten serious.” Tumwine sarcastically advised.
